Everything is Someone

Published by Vetro Editions , February 2020

'Everything is someone' is a series of short stories for future kids from 10 to 99 to understand the upcoming world where more things are becoming like people and viceversa. It was written together with Joshua Noble and illustrated by Ailadi.

For most of recorded history, people have thought of people as the only ones that were someone. Well, they used to talk to Rocks, Rivers, and Trees, but they long forgot to do that ever since. This is a book about thinking about how the world is to all the someone’s that aren’t like you and I.

There is the story of a man that wanted to become a table, a vacuum cleaner that owned a cleaning company, the first mountain that became a president and more.

Published by O'Reilly Media, August 2017.

As more connected products are launched and kickstarted daily, it’s clear that homes have become a new data factory for entrepreneurs, designers, and developers. In this O’Reilly report, I explored why and how smart home products also need to fit into the contextual and cultural environment—the experiences and rituals—of our everyday lives.

How can culture and context help you design connected-product behaviors that fit our lives rather than change them?
